PACIFIC BEACH BATHROOM

This is a very small master bathroom (5’x8’) for a very tall (6’-4”) bachelor on a limited budget who wanted a monochromatic high tech look. The space was gutted and the bathtub replaced with a stall shower. Large (18”x18”) porcelain tiles were used for the shower surround, floor and as a wainscoting behind the toilet. The large tiles were contrasted with 1”x1” iridescent glass mosaic tiles on the countertop, as a backsplash and on a shelf built out from one wall of the shower. The mirror above the shelf extends into the shower and allows the Owner to shave and put in his contact lenses while in the shower. A deep stainless steel vessel sink on top of a 36” high vanity brings the sink up to a comfortable height for the Owner.
